Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Robase’s SMS OTP API platform and related services. By signing up or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Service Description

Robase provides an API for sending SMS OTP messages and transactional SMS through multi-provider routing across Africa. We act as an intermediary between you and downstream SMS providers. We do not guarantee message delivery as it depends on third-party carrier networks.

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys and account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the service to:

  • Send unsolicited messages (spam) or engage in illegal or fraudulent activity
  • Violate applicable laws or regulations, including data protection and privacy laws
  • Transmit malware, viruses, or any harmful code
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts

4. Message Content & Compliance

You are solely responsible for the content of messages sent through our platform. You must obtain all necessary consents from recipients before sending messages, including opt-in consent where required by applicable law. You must comply with all applicable telecommunications, data protection, and anti-spam regulations in the jurisdictions where your recipients are located.

5. Credits & Billing

All fees are prepaid via credits. Credits are non-refundable except as required by law or as expressly stated in our refund policy. We reserve the right to modify our pricing with 30 days’ notice. Usage is billed based on the number of messages sent, regardless of delivery status.

6. Service Level

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. SMS delivery rates depend on downstream provider networks and are outside our control. Our liability for service outages is limited to service credits as specified in any applicable service level agreement.

7. Intellectual Property

The Robase platform, including our API, documentation, and branding, is our proprietary property. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works without our express permission. You retain all rights to the content of your messages and your application code.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Robase shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Robase harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, violation of these Terms, or violation of applicable law.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, illegal activity, or if your account remains inactive with a zero balance. You may terminate your account at any time. Upon termination, you lose access to unused credits.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lagos, Nigeria.
